Mass and potluck

The Ministry to Families with Gay and Lesbian Catholics hosts a monthly Mass and potluck, usually on the second Saturday of the month. The Mass and potluck are open to all. The location varies throughout the diocese.

We are back from our extended summer hiatus, but will not be having our usual Mass and potluck until next year.

This month, we will be having a prayer service for Roman Preciado, who passed away in August. He was the partner of Tim Mooney, a friend of the ministry.

The prayer service will be held beginning at 4 p.m. Saturday, October 14, at the home of commission members Mike and Gloria Austin. We will begin with a potluck and start the prayer service around 5:30 p.m. Directions to Mike and Gloria’s house will be sent in the newsletter. Click here to subscribe.

In November, we will join the Gifted and Called Faith Sharing Group in Palm Springs. We will join them at the 5 p.m. Mass at St. Theresa Church2800 E. Ramon Road, Palm Springs, on November 4. We will share dinner following the Mass. Note that this is during Palm Springs Pride weekend.

In December, we will again hold a special Advent gathering beginning at 5 p.m. December 9 at the Diocesan Pastoral Center, 1201 E. Highland Ave, San Bernardino. The event will feature a Mass, a speaker and potluck.

As always, if know someone who could benefit from this ministry, please invite them.
